BIO

I am fast approaching my 60th birthday, and just as quickly 40 years in the building industry. I am, first and foremost, a family man. My wife, Karen, and I have raised twins who are just about to complete their undergraduate studies. I have found that the values critical to parenting and maintaining a family are also critical to my business. I have come to the conclusion that reliability is the most important component of my business. My clients are trusting me to build what will become their home, which is both a sanctuary as well as a substantial investment.

Through time I have found that in order to achieve the best results, that productive communication is essential. Typically, this starts during the preliminary meetings that are held in order to get to know one another and discuss the client’s wishes. The next step of producing an estimate of cost will require more discussions, to as precisely as possible, define how the client would like their home finished. Once this process has reached a mutually agreeable end, the next step before actual building takes place is signing a contract. During construction I continue to have regular meetings with my clients, during which we discuss the progress of work as well as the finalization of details of their home’s finishes.

I was initially drawn to the building industry because I enjoyed the tangible nature of its outcome, and this enjoyment coupled with the pride of a job well done continues to be a strong motivational source for energy and direction. My inherent skills and experience are manifest assets that all my clientele benefit from. During my early career, which occurred in my childhood home of California, I worked as a carpenter and landscaper. This hands-on experience enhanced any innate abilities I may have had in the problem solving arena. As I progressed into more of a supervisory role, I developed my communication skills to a higher level. I was aided in this by my family’s background in psychiatry, and worked hard to be a really good listener.

Hopefully, this narrative and other website components will give you an indication that I have the essential skills and drive to undertake any project you may have in mind.
